Rain will fall over most of the capital city for another day on Friday after causing flooding in some districts in the early hours of Thursday.
The Meteorological Department warned on its website on Thursday that the rain will continue on Friday, before less inclement weather conditions over the coming weekend.
Most areas of the city will be wet on Friday with mild winds up to 30 kilometres per hour, the weather forecast bureau said.
Heavy rains on Wednesday night flooded roads in several districts in the capital, with Chatuchak, Bang Bon, Klong Toey, Bang Na, Saphan Sung, Suan Luang, Lat Krabang and Prawet hard hit, according to Department of Drainage and Sewerage reports. Lat Krabang received 165.5 millimetres of rain, it added.
It took between 40 minutes and three hours for the water to drain water off the roads, department director Adisak Khantee said.
